experience Heritage in Cambodia

Where modern and ancient landscapes collide to create a uniquely Cambodian adventure.

A window into ancient civilisation

Small country with big history; contemporary Cambodia is the successor state to the mighty Khmer empire whose legend remains at the fabled temples of Angkor, monuments unrivalled in scale and grandeur in Southeast Asia.

Civilisation under threat

Cambodia’s pristine environment is currently under threat. Ancient forests are razed to make way for plantations, rivers sized up for hydroelectric power plants and the South Coast is being stripped of sand and explored by leading oil companies. The effects of Cambodia’s history of war and genocide still lingers to also affect basic social environments in its poverty rate, basic water supply and education.

Your impact in Cambodia

Directly work towards the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal of Quality Education.

focus: quality education

Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to creating sustainable development. In addition to improving quality of life, access to inclusive education can help equip locals with the tools required to develop innovative solutions to the world’s greatest problems.

The lack of quality and access to education in Cambodia indicates a need for action towards relevant school curricula, sufficient teachers and resources to improve Cambodian’s youth with a greater prospect for their future.

Live in a challenging environment to develop leadership competencies, personal skills and improve communication capabilities. Experience new things, travel and meet new people by exploring ancient temples, living with local host families and collaborating with local teachers.

“Maybe a year ago I wouldn’t have thought I would be spending my summer break in a foreign country, no less teaching English! The friends I made along the way and the moments I get to experience made this without a doubt, the best way I could’ve spent my break.”
